We are
ICSM Vision
Imperial College School of Medicine (ICSM) Vision is an outreach society run by medical students at Imperial College London. Our aim is to widen access to studying Medicine, supporting aspiring medics through a range of conferences, programmes, and sessions.
Each year, we run 4 large conferences:
- Mastering Your Medical Application (MMA) Day
- Supporting medical school applicants with upcoming interviews through a range of insightful talks and workshops, including a full mock multiple mini interview (MMI).
- Junior Medics Conference
- Inspiring Years 10-12 interested studying medicine through a range of talks and practical workshops, giving students an insight into the life of a medical student and practising doctor.
- Spring Conference (conference name subject to change)
- New for 2024/25 due to high demand for Junior Medics Conference, this conference, aimed for Years 11 and 12 students, will provide a sneak peak into the life as a medical student and some of the things you will learn in Medicine.
- UCAT Day
- Equipping medical school applicants with the techniques required to score the best they can in their upcoming UCAT medical school admissions test.
Throughout the academic year, we run 2 ongoing programmes:
- Roadshow
- Visiting local secondary school in London, we deliver talks on university life, work experience, medical school interviews, and top tips during school years to inspire the next generation of medical students.
- Dr Me Project
- A health promotion and widening participation project which visits local primary schools, teaching about common self-limiting illnesses and how to manage them.
Our
partner institutions
We work closely with Imperial College London Outreach and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to greater support and make more opportunities available to students aspiring to study Medicine, especially those from widening participation backgrounds.
